Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks Comet 8:50 PM EDT Apr 7, 2024

First look at the 12P/Pons-Brooks comet. Jupiter at upper left with 2 of its moons just visible. Comet at lower right .. beautiful bluish color with tail faintly visible pointing "up" away from the setted sun. Comet and Jupiter are ~ 7° apart. Easy to spot at mag 4.7 with 7x35 binocs. Fainter stars in the photo are ~ mag 7.
